CellFive is my pretty simple blog, using Zola with the Tabi theme. It’s a bunch of .md files on my own gitlab repo, which Cloudflare rebuilds every time I push to main. Low cost, slight faff, but easy to move / migrate. All mine.
So what is CellFive?
It really refers to Pope Celestine V, about whom I created a rap while walking with my daughter one day. This all makes sense really.
It could also refer to cell number five - not a prisoner’s cell though, one belonging to a monk, who we’ll call Brother Barnaby for now. This also makes sense.
Ultimately, it’s my project for building an AI rig from my rather old PC. I’ll be posting bits of my progress as I go along. There have been a number of challenges along the way, and while know all the cool kids are going with unified memory systems, I’m an old-school Linux chap at heart who’s rather attached to his ancient Antec Sonata II PC case. To be fair, I’m also a right penny-pincher, so I rarely buy the latest kit anyway…
Hopefully I’ll one day have something to show for it, and the whole Pope and monk thing will be so much clearer. Honestly. Until then, this is where I put some thoughts.
